jmIRC – The best free JavaME IRC Client
If you are looking for a reliable and portable JavaME IRC client for your phone, then I would definitely recommend jmIRC for you as it is the most portable irc client for java-enabled phone. Compiled as an MIDP 1.0 midlet, jmIRC is supported on virtually any mobile phone that implements J2ME specification.
Unlike other irc midlet, jmIRC supports connecting to IRC through both raw sockets and HTTP proxy. This will ensure your connectivity to the irc even if you’re using mobile phones/telco which do not support direct socket connection.

- Full mIRC color support
- Bytecounter for tracking online data usage
- Has socket polling feature for problematic phones
jmIRC was licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0, and can be downloaded from its project page in Sourceforge.

Menarik, tapi kena sentiasa ada sambungan untuk setiap kali chat, telco tak mesra pengguna lagi :(
tapi oleh kerana charge dikenakan ikut saiz data, rasanya tak mahal sangat kalau nak irc

huhu ya dah pakai jmirc/virca setahun dah, selalunya kalau online 10jam nonstop pun biasanya abis dalam seringgit lebih saja, sebab protocol IRC tak bapa kompleks kut.
kira ok gak la kalau sesaja nak on kejap utk cari member time takda connection
